Sea of Thieves will get skeleton ships at the end of the month
Sea of Thieves has been around for a while, so the time has come for its first summer update. Scheduled to arrive on July 31, the free update for Sea of Thieves called "Cursed Sails" will debut as the biggest update that this title has received so far.
In addition to the new AI-driven skeleton ship enemies, the update also promises to bring a brigantine ship for three-player crews. According to Joe Neate, Executive Producer at Rare, "Players will now be able to battle terrifying new skeleton ships, set sail in the new three-player Brigantine ship and form Alliances with other players to take on bigger challenges and share greater rewards."
The new content that comes as a part of the update will be introduced through a special time-limited campaign that is scheduled to last for three weeks. However, all the features that come with this campaign will be available for Sea of Thieves players who won't be able to join the fun during the time frame mentioned above.
Cursed Sails is a free update for all those who purchased the game across the Xbox One lineup of devices or on Windows 10 PC, but those who gained access to Sea of Thieves as part of Xbox Game Pass can enjoy the new content for free as well.
