In the first week of December, Switch players can look forward to four new titles in the Nintendo eShop - including a platformer, a sporty rhythm game, a relaxed visual novel and an RPG that was previously exclusively playable via Apple Acarde.

Nintendo Switch owners (available on Amazon for $299) can welcome four new additions to the Nintendo eShop this week. We give a brief preview of what gamers can expect from the games.

Antonblast - December 3

Antonblast is a fast-paced platformer with a retro aesthetic that puts players in the boots of Dynamite Anton, a hard-drinking construction worker armed with a hammer and a fiery temper. His mission? To rescue his cherished bar, "Hammered Heaven," from the clutches of the devious Time Devil. In classic 2D style, you’ll navigate maze-like levels, breaking through walls, floors and other barriers with Anton's trusty hammer. Some stages feature challenging boss fights, each with unique mechanics that push your hammer-wielding skills to the limit.

Fantasian Neo Dimension - December 5

Fantasian Neo Dimension is a role-playing game crafted by Hironobu Sakaguchi, the visionary behind the Final Fantasy series. First launched in 2021 on Apple Arcade, an enhanced edition is set to release on December 5, 2024, for PlayStation 5 (available on Amazon for $424), Xbox Series X|S (available on Amazon for $341), PC and Nintendo Switch.

In this RPG, players step into the role of Leo, a young man who wakes up in a strange, machine-controlled world, his past erased by a catastrophic explosion. Joined by loyal allies, Leo journeys across multiple dimensions to halt the spread of Mechteria and uncover the truth about his lost memories. The game features turn-based combat and stands out for its unique visual style, blending traditional gameplay with stunning handcrafted dioramas that serve as its immersive backdrops.

Fitness Boxing 3: Your Personal Trainer - December 5

This fitness rhythm game for the Nintendo Switch lets players personalize their workouts. Using Joy-Con controllers, they perform boxing moves set to the beat of over 30 new instrumental versions of popular hits. Fitness Boxing 3 introduces six fully voiced trainers, two more than its predecessor and adds several new features. For the first time, players can enjoy a seated boxing mode, train with friends in local multiplayer, or check out online stats to compare their progress with others around the world.

Stella of The End - December 5

Stella of The End is a post-apocalyptic visual novel following the journey of Jude Gray, a courier entrusted with delivering an android girl named Philia. Set in a world dominated by massive "Singularity Machines," the story explores their perilous travels through a landscape filled with both mechanical dangers and human hostility. As Philia yearns to become human, the narrative delves into themes of identity and survival. Unlike traditional visual novels, Stella of The End offers a linear experience with no branching choices or alternate endings.
