SteelSeries Apex Pro Mini specifications and features

The Apex Pro Mini uses the company’s OmniPoint 2.0 Adjustable HyperMagnetic switches that allow customizable actuation ranging from 0.1 mm to 4 mm. This adjusts the point at which the keypress will register an input which means inputs can be instantaneous or slightly delayed, depending on the game. It also allows for the latest gaming tech in the industry such as Rapid Tap, Rapid Trigger, 2-in-1 Action Keys, and more.

It is a wireless keyboard that allows connectivity via the 2.4 GHz dongle or Bluetooth 5.0. SteelSeries claims 30 hours of battery life with the 2.4 GHz connection and 40 hours with Bluetooth. There is also per-key RGB lighting and depending on the lighting setup, the battery could vary. The Apex Pro Mini comes with double shot PBT keycaps and three adjustable feet positions for better ergonomics.

Notably, this is an older generation of OmniPoint switches as the Apex Pro Mini Gen 3 ($187 on Amazon) comes with OmniPoint 3.0 switches. However, the Apex Pro Mini Gen 3 is not wireless and is more expensive despite the Prime Day deal.
