Deal | The iPhone X is cheaper than the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 today, at just US$445: better offer than the iPhone SE?

Apple's iPhone X is currently selling on Amazon for just US$445 renewed. This is less than half the launch price for this premium erstwhile flagship. At present rates, it is actually US$4 cheaper than the Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Aurora Green variant. It is also US$150 cheaper than the OnePlus 7T.

While this is a 2017 device, the Apple A11 SoC holds up remarkably well. The A11's GPU matches the Snapdragon 855 in most graphics workloads, while its CPU dominates in single-threaded performance. This makes it faster by far than the Xiaomi Mi Note 10's Snapdragon 730. 

The real question, though, is whether or not the discounted iPhone X is a value buy over the new iPhone SE. Apple's latest budget SE model packs the powerful A13 chip found in the iPhone 11 series. However, the iPhone SE's 4.7-inch HD display and lack of Face ID are a few compromises too many for many users. Battery life disappoints too. The iPhone X introduced Face ID and the bezel-free notched display found in modern iPhones. While its chipset is getting on in years, it is still more than fast enough for just about any workload. It's also compatible with the latest version of iOS 13. And, at the end of the day, this is a flagship product delivering a premium user experience.
