OnePlus 7T Pro and OnePlus 7T prices in India slashed by Rs. 6,000, and Rs. 3,000 respectively
It is a common practice among companies to slash the price of their previous releases once a new product has entered the market. Samsung cut the Galaxy S10 series' prices when it unveiled the Galaxy S20 earlier this year, and OnePlus appears to be doing the same in India.
Now that the OnePlus 8 series is out, OnePlus has slashed the price of the OnePlus 7T Pro from Rs. 53,999($704) to Rs. 47,999($626). Similarly, the OnePlus 7T's price has dropped from Rs. 37,999($495) to Rs. 34,999($456). The offer is only valid on devices purchased via OnePlus' official website.
These price cuts are quite fascinating, as one can still get their hands on an OnePlus 8 for Rs 41,999($587) in the Indian market. OnePlus 7T's revised cost should attract a lot of potential consumers towards it, but the same can't be said for the OnePlus 7T Pro. Although the differences between the OnePlus 7T Pro and OnePlus 8 are minimal, a lot of people would still prefer buying a newer phone at a much lower price.
It'll be interesting to see how the Indian market reacts to this price cut. Other BBK International-owned brands such as iQOO and Realme have cheaper Snapdragon 865-powered options in the market. OnePlus is revered as somewhat of a 'luxury' brand in the country, so it can get away with pricing its phones a few thousand rupees extra.
