The first OnePlus Watch marketing render arrives, and its looks like the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2
Unbox Therapy has published a marketing render of the OnePlus Watch, OnePlus' first smartwatch. OnePlus has already confirmed a few aspects of the OnePlus Watch, but this is the first time we have seen the device in full. The OnePlus Watch looks unassuming, in our opinion, with a slim design and a round display that has quite thick bezels. It looks like OnePlus has given the smartwatch a silicone watch band, too.
If you think that you have seen the OnePlus Watch before, then you are not alone. There is no escaping that OnePlus' first smartwatch resembles the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2, which the South Korean company is expected to replace with a new model this year. Many smartwatches have circular displays, but few have aped the Galaxy Watch Active 2's design as well as the OnePlus Watch does.
OnePlus could have opted for different lugs, for example, which are identical to the design of those on the Galaxy Watch Active 2. Similarly, the OnePlus Watch has two physical buttons in the same position as the two on Samsung's smartwatch.
The OnePlus Watch is expected to have a 46 mm diameter, making it too big for many people's hands. There have been hints that OnePlus will release two versions of the OnePlus Watch, but the second version is not a smaller 38 mm or 40 mm version. The OnePlus Watch will debut on March 23 running an in-house OS.
