OnePlus Watch specification details revealed ahead of anticipated March 23 launch
OnePlus is busy at the moment readying two flagship product launches for 2021. We’ve already had a good look at the OnePlus 9 range both unofficially and officially, but we’ve only seen a moderately revealing teaser clip for the debut smartwatch from the Chinese company. It shows we can expect a smartwatch with a circular dial and a textured silicon band, but precious little else has been revealed about it until now.
Tipster Ishan Agarwal has obtained several key details and specifications of the OnePlus Watch. It will feature a more-or-less standard 46 mm radius and come with an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. In line with the latest smartwatches on the market, it will support blood oxygen monitoring along with sleep tracking, stress monitoring and heart rate monitoring. OnePlus TV owners will also be able to use the OnePlus Watch to control their TV.
One area that it looks like it may stand itself out from the competition is the inclusion of Warp Charge functionality. According to Agarwal, the system will be able to deliver a week of charge in just 20 minutes. Given this level of apparent system efficiency, we can also reasonably expect the OnePlus Watch to be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100. Expect any additional details to be revealed at the March 23 OnePlus special event.
