Sims fans have been busy celebrating the game's 25th birthday. However, despite dozens of free items being released, some players aren't satisfied and are looking toward the future. Today, EA unveiled a roadmap for the anticipated Motherlode season of content. While it probably won't encourage the infamous The Sims 4 money cheat, players will have more ways to earn simoleons honestly. Gamers can expect a preview of the Business & Hobbies expansion pack on February 6th before it launches on March 6th.
EA outlined five dates on its The Sims 4 X account, starting with the February 6th preview. Fans of the life simulator will then have to wait until February 18th for a deep dive into the latest content. February 25th remains a mystery, with only a pair of googly eyes on the calendar. After the launch of Business & Hobbies on March 6th, EA plans to release three kits early in May. The Restoration Workshop could provide the most handy Sims with ways to bring antiques back to life. Golden Years and Kitchen Clutter round out the other content during this phase of the Motherlode season.
The Sims 4 already has numerous jobs and career paths to choose from. Unfortunately, many of these occupations require purchasing a specific DLC. The Business & Hobbies expansion pack will hopefully provide the most options since the Get to Work DLC in 2015.
Specifics on job titles will likely be coming, but EA already provided a hint with a recent video posted on X. The surprisingly suggestive clip shows a shirtless man in what appears to be a tattoo parlor. While he's not enjoying the experience, players could cash in on his pain by opening their own shop in The Sims 4.
The name of the latest The Sims 4 expansion pack also suggests that hobbies are a major part of the Motherlode season. Whether a player is retired or just killing free time, there is an endless list of activities not part of the game.
