RedMagic has announced that it will launch the 6S Pro soon. This, based on the brand's product-cycle history alone, is projected to be a mild mid-year upgrade over the 6 Pro, thanks in no small part to its Snapdragon 888+ processor. Now, TENAA had potentially reinforced this impression with their new official certification for what is more than likely to be this device.
The 2 bodies have approved the Nubia N669J-S as a 5G device with looks quite like those of the original RedMagic 6 Pro, although this one will come in "green, black, red and blue gradient" colorways. Its probable immediate update reprises many of its high-end specs, an Android 11-based ROM and triple rear cameras with a 64MP main sensor included.
TENAA also confirms the presence of the 888+ processor through its 2.95GHz top speed, and that it will be paired with up to 16GB of RAM in the upcoming RedMagic. Meanwhile, its maker has hyped the same premium device once again through a reveal for its shoulder buttons with a 500Hz response rate.
The brand has also let slip that it will launch alongside new accessories: a "Feizhi G1 grip" that adds joystick functions to 1 of these buttons, and a 10,000mAh power bank, finished in an appropriately gamer-y chassis. Despite this serious appearance, it is apparently possessed of type-C ports rated for a potentially underwhelming maximum output of 22.5W.
RedMagic has yet to mention a price for either new optional purchase, although it will probably furnish its audience with these details and more at the 6S Pro event, scheduled for September 6, 2021.
