Update: The Apple Store is now back online, with a new UI as hinted earlier. It involves new spinning carousels for links to its products, the latest offerings such as the new AirPods, HomePods and MacBook Pro 14 and 16 included. They should be available to order today, although they may not ship until October 25, 2021 at the earliest.
Apple has confirmed that its latest product launch event, "Unleashed", will go ahead today (October 18, 2021) at 10:00 PDT (19:00 CET). Consumers that might have hoped for good deals on hardware that are or are not about to become last-gen will be disappointed, however, as the OEM's online Store is not showing listings at the moment.
The Apple Store is apparently applying updates ahead of Unleashed, thereby hinting at many new and interesting listings alongside existing ones for devices such as those of the iPhone 13 series. This, then, might be an encouraging last-minute sign that leaks pointing to the imminent release of, say, new Macbook Pros, have been accurate all along.
These new laptops are tipped to see the return of MagSafe, not to mention new M1 variants optimized for these putative ultrabooks. Therefore, the company may indeed want to reinforce its Store's services for a potential influx of new orders, or page-views at least.
MacBook Pro 16s on Amazon just might acquire some good deals soon.
