TeamGroup has announced its fastest gaming SSD, the T-FORCE CARDEA A440 PRO. The CARDEA uses the latest NVMe 1.4 specification and PCIe Gen4x4 interface. The gaming SSD is available in different storage sizes and features two different heat sinks to fit the needs of gamers. The T-FORCE SSD performs at fast read/write speeds of up to 7400/7000 MB/s and releases in November.

TeamGroup has revealed its new flagship M.2 PCIe 4.0 gaming SSD, the T-FORCE CARDEA A440 PRO. The CARDEA is available in three different storage capacities, 1 TB, 2 TB and 4 TB, as well as with two different heat sink types, aluminium and graphene. The T-FORCE SSD is compatible with PCIe Gen4x4 and is backwards compatible with PCIe 3.0 interface. Moreover, the CARDEA utilises the latest NVMe 1.4 specification and therefore, it supports PLM (Predictable Latency Mode) and RRL (Read Recovery Level), which diminish latency time and enhance QoS as well as the lifespan of the device.

The T-FORCE SSD also features blistering read/write speeds of up to 7400/7000 MB/s and is 15 times faster than traditional SATA SSDs. These fast speeds produce a great amount of heat and thus, the T-FORCE SSD is cooled by a newly designed aluminium fin heat sink and graphene heat spreader. TeamGroup claims that the newly upgraded aluminium heat sink decreases the high temperature output by 48% and delays the frequency of speed dropping during intensive operations. Hence, the read/write performance of the CARDEA is more reliable than other SSDs.

Furthermore, customers can choose the ultra-thin graphene heat spreader as an alternative cooling solution, which allows for flexible installation and does not interfere with other components. TeamGroup asserts that the graphene heat sink comprises of thermal conductivity material that improves heat dispersion by 9%.

The CARDEA supports Windows Vista or later and Linux 2.6.33 or higher and comes with a five-year limited warranty. The CARDEA launches in November and starts at US$189.99 for 1 TB with the graphene head spreader and US$209.99 for 1 TB with the aluminium heat sink.
