Deal | Playstation 5 compatible Acer GM7000 PCIe4 NVMe SSDs are now finally in stock starting at $89 USD
The highest capacity 2 TB option will set you back $350 USD. In return, owners would be getting one of the fastest PCIe4 drives available with sequential read and write speeds approaching 7400 MB/s and 6700 MB/s, respectively.
When Acer announced availability of its latest GM7000 series of PCIe4 NVMe SSDs a few weeks ago, stock was uneven to say the least. Now, major retailers like Amazon are ready to ship the Acer drives in multiple capacities ranging from 512 GB, 1 TB, and 2 TB, for $89, $149, and $349 USD, respectively.
The GM7000 series is notable for being compatible with the PS5 as all capacities promise sequential read speeds of up to 7400 MB/s each to exceed the minimum requirements of the Sony console. Write speeds vary between each capacity, however, but that should not be a concern for console users and most PC users. There is no heatsink included and so users may want to consider investing in an aftermarket heatsink to extend the life of the drive.

There's a striking level of appreciation you gain for everyday consumer electronics after working with modern nuclear reactivity systems astonishingly powered by computers from the 80s.
