Amazon is currently running a sale on the 1 TB SK Hynix Gold S31 2.5-inch SATA III SSD for 38 percent off the original launch price of $135. Its final price of just under $84 makes the drive one of the more affordable 1 TB options currently available.

Sequential read and write rates can reach 560 MB/s and 525 MB/s, respectively, which are comparable to the fastest SATA III SSDs on the market. M.2 NVMe drives can approach transfer rates of over 3000 to 7000 MB/s in comparison, but they are generally more expensive.
