Honor will soon launch its new Tablet X9, which comes with a slightly faster display. The name may well cause some confusion with an existing product.

Honor is preparing to release several new products, including the Tablet GT Pro and the Tablet X9. The X9 label may seem familiar to attentive readers or Honor fans, as the Honor Pad X9 has been available in certain countries since last year. However, the Honor Tablet X9 is a different device with several significant differences in terms of features.

The new Honor Tablet X9 is equipped with an 11-inch screen with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080, making the screen slightly smaller than its namesake of last year. It also only offers a refresh rate of up to 90 Hz instead of 120 Hz. The maximum brightness of the display is specified as 400 cd/m², which is not particularly high. The screen-to-body ratio is stated as 84%, and the display edges are already clearly visible in the product images.

No precise information on the SoC installed is yet available, but overall Honor's Tablet X9 is likely to appeal to customers who are looking for a tablet for media consumption and browsing and not necessarily a high-performance tablet for professional use in productive contexts, as suggested by the product photos shared so far. Lastly, the battery is said to have a capacity of 8,300 mAh.

The Tablet X6 is expected to be unveiled on October 16, but it is not yet clear whether the tablet will be launched globally.
