Suddenly a budget chip: Affordable Dell Pro 3 laptops come with Intel Lunar Lake

Lunar Lake may be old news, but this is not gonna stop laptop manufacturers from using these chips in 2026. It seems like Intel still has a lot of these CPUs, as they are now popping up in budget laptops: Dell just announced the Dell Pro 3 series of laptops, their most affordable business laptop sub-series. These devices are the entry level into the professional Dell laptop lineup, replacing last years Dell Pro (Basic) models. Of course, these devices did not feature Lunar Lake last year - but they do, now.
The Core Ultra 200V CPUs, which were mostly confined to premium models in 2025, are suddenly for budget laptops. The Dell Pro 3 14 and Dell Pro 3 16 are both available with either AMD and Intel CPUs. Curiously, the AMD lineup does feature the current CPUs, Gorgon Point. For Intel however, buyers get the choice between Intel Arrow Lake and Intel Lunar Lake, instead of the current Panther Lake CPUs.
In other ways, the Dell Pro 3 laptops are typical budget models, with plastic instead of metal chassis and cheap entry level screen options. They do feature optional 70 Wh batteries, which, when coupled with Lunar Lake, should make them an interesting choice for users who are looking for a long battery life.
The Dell Pro 3 14 and Dell Pro 3 16 are arriving on the market in April. The price is not yet known, as Dell has not announced it, yet.
