Special edition Huawei smartwatch now available in Europe

The Huawei Watch Ultimate Design Spring Edition has been released in Europe. The previously announced smartwatch was developed with jewelry designer Francesca Amfitheatrof. It has now launched in more countries, alongside a special edition version of the Watch GT Runner 2.

Huawei’s Watch Ultimate Design Spring Edition is billed as the brand’s first jeweled smartwatch, with 99 diamonds set in a vine pattern into the silver-tone metal strap. The front casing is made from titanium, and the 1.38-inch AMOLED display is protected by a diamond cut sapphire crystal. 

Features of the Huawei Watch Ultimate include monitoring of various cardiovascular and respiratory health metrics, thanks to the smartwatch’s X-TAP sensor. Users can choose from over 100 workout modes to log their exercise. Plus, the watch’s eSIM allows the wearer to make cellular calls without the need for a smartphone, and there is an Emergency SOS feature. Huawei estimates that the Watch Ultimate will run for up to three days with typical use, or five days in battery saver mode.
