Sony announces 4 new free games coming to PlayStation Plus

Sony has announced the PlayStation Plus Monthly Games lineup for September 2026, and members across the Essential, Extra, and Premium tiers will get four new games to claim next month. The new titles will become available on September 1, and they will remain live until October 5. 

Three of the games were already leaked yesterday, but Sony has now officially confirmed the complete lineup, including one new addition that had not been revealed beforehand.

New games coming to PS Plus

The first title is Sniper Elite: Resistance (PS5, PS4), which takes the series to occupied France during World War II, with a story running alongside Sniper Elite 5. The game focuses on long-range shooting, stealth, and tactical combat. You can play the campaign in co-op, invade another player's campaign in Axis Invasion, or take part in 16-player competitive matches.

Next up, we have MLB The Show 26 (PS5), which lets players build their baseball career through Road To The Show, including a new path involving the MLB Draft Combine and additional college teams. It also features Diamond Dynasty, which lets players create their own squad using baseball stars from different eras. 

The third title, Wobbly Life (PS5, PS4), is a colorful open-world sandbox that can be played alone or with up to three other players through online or split-screen co-op. It features an island filled with mini-games, secrets, puzzles, toys, and story missions. Players can explore caves, mountains, and other locations before jumping into Arcade mode, which includes activities such as Hide & Seek, Trash Zone, Wobble Run, and Sandbox.

Finally, we have Chained Echoes (PS4). This is a story-driven JRPG inspired by classic 16-bit games. It follows a group of heroes trying to end a war between three kingdoms across the continent of Valandis. You'll explore different environments, including plateaus, islands, sunken cities, and dungeons, while using swords, magic, and even giant mechanical suits during battles.

That said, make sure to claim this month’s free games before they leave the service on August 31, which include Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Reloaded Edition, Big Walk, and Signalis.
