Sony Xperia 10 IV: Leak reveals renders and other details of Sony's upcoming mid-range phone
The rumor mill for Sony's 2022 lineup grinds away. Over the past few weeks, multiple leaks have surfaced about the Xperia 1 IV and Xperia 5 IV. The latest leak provides the first look into Sony's mid-ranger for the year, however—the Xperia 10 IV.
After releasing renders of the Xperia 1 V last week, popular leaker OnLeaks has now provided similar images for the mid-range Xperia 10 IV. Just like with the Xperia 1 IV, the Xperia 10 IV mostly retains the design of its predecessor, the Xperia 10 III. The phone is said to sport a 6.0-inch AMOLED. There's no mention of 120 Hz refresh rate, so it can be assumed that the Xperia 10 IV remains stuck with a 60 Hz screen. That'd be disappointing, as mid-range phones like the Galaxy A52s 5G and Redmi Note 11 have moved away from 60 Hz displays.
The Xperia 10 IV will sport flat edges versus its predecessor's more rounded edges. It retains three rear cameras, likely the same setup on the Xperia 10 III. There's a side-mounted fingerprint reader, front-firing stereo speakers, and a USB-C port. The 3.5 mm makes a gracious appearance as well.
The mid-range phone is said to measure 153.3 x 67.3 x 8.4 mm, essentially identical to the Xperia 10 III. Supposedly, it will come equipped with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage as standard. All in all, as is becoming typical with Sony, the Xperia 10 IV looks to be an incremental upgrade on the Xperia 10 III.
