Sony WF-1000XM6: New wireless earbuds star in comparison photos before official release

Sony has a day to go before it unveils the WF-1000XM6 globally. Incidentally, the company also confirmed yesterday that it will be updating the older WH-1000XM6 during the same event (curr. $398 on Amazon). Based on recent leaks and rumours, the latter will be a visual refresh rather than a hardware one.
For context, the design of the WF-1000XM6 is already known. While we await Sony's official launch, The Walkman Blog has shared comparison images highlighting the differences among Sony's recent WF-1000X earbud releases. As the image below shows, the WF-1000XM5 is the smallest of the three, with the WF-1000XM4 the tallest of the lot.
However, the WF-1000XM6 is thicker than the WF-1000XM4. Also, Sony's next pair of wireless earbuds are noticeably taller than the outgoing WF-1000XM5. Consequently, the WF-1000XM6 should protrude more from one's ears than its predecessors. Whether Sony's design changes impact comfort and ergonomics remains to be seen at this point, though. The WF-1000XM6 should go on sale shortly after 16:00 UTC on February 12. Currently, Sony is expected to price its new wireless earbuds at $329.99 in the US and €299.99 in the Eurozone.
