Sony WF-1000XM4 high-resolution marketing images leak in two colours; compact charging case, matte finish and memory foam ear tips seemingly confirmed
WF-1000XM4 related leaks will not stop hitting the web. Earlier this week, The Walkman Blog revealed renders of Sony's upcoming earbuds and their redesigned charging case, but Roland Quandt has done one better. Tweeting today, Quandt has published renders of the WF-1000XM4 in two colours and from every imaginable angle.
While we will not retread what we have written about the WF-1000XM4 earlier this week, Quandt's latest leak reveals a few more aspects about Sony's next headphones. As expected, Sony will release the WF-1000XM4, presumably marketed as Black and Silver. Both colours seem to have a matte texture, although it is less visible on the black version.
Additionally, it appears that Sony has switched to memory foam ear tips, having used silicone ones on the WF-1000XM3. It looks like Sony has included a wear sensor too, along with a few microphone holes. It is unclear if the WF-1000XM4 is smaller than its predecessor, but its charging case looks more compact than the large one that the WF-1000XM3 has.
The WF-1000XM4's release date remains unknown. However, high-resolution marketing renders leak, typically, when a product is close to being launched. Hence, we may only be a month or so away from Sony announcing the WF-1000XM4.
