Update: Sony releases INZONE Buds for US$199.99. Sony is preparing to release the Inzone Buds, which will also be known as the WF-G700. Allegedly, Sony will sell the earbuds for considerably less than the WF-1000XM5, despite including ANC, Inzone 360 Spatial Sound and a low latency connectivity option through a USB Type-C dongle.

Update - 10/10/2023

Sony has now released its first gaming-focused earbuds as the INZONE Buds, model number WFG700N. Available to order now in black and white colour options, the INZONE Buds retails for US$199.99 in the US and €199.99 in the Eurozone. Please see Sony's website for more details. Various sources have provided details about the WF-G700, a pair of earbuds that Sony will market under its Inzone gaming brand. To recap, the company has released five Inzone products to date, including H3, H7 and H9 headphones. Seemingly, the WF-G700 (Inzone Buds) will be the first pair of earbuds sold under its Inzone brand, with the Inzone H5 likely arriving soon too.

According to @MysteryLupin and Roland Quandt, Sony will price the Inzone Buds at US$199 and approximately €200. Thus, the earbuds will undercut the WF-1000XM5 by roughly a third. By contrast, the earbuds will cost about as much as the LinkBuds S, which debuted almost a year ago. Based on the information that Quandt has leaked so far, the Inzone Buds will support Bluetooth LE Audio and USB Type-C connectivity, with Sony bundling a corresponding dongle for the latter.

Quandt adds that the earbuds will support active noise cancellation (ABC) and Inzone 360 Spatial Sound as well. Understandably, enabling these technologies will reduce battery life, which Sony rates at up to 12 hours when connected to the bundled low latency USB Type-C adapter or 24 hours via Bluetooth Low Energy (LE Audio). In part, these battery life estimates are thanks to the Sony L1, a chipset that Quandt describes as being designed to minimise energy consumption. Unfortunately, release details remain unknown for now.
