Intel Arc A580 graphics card finally turns up in ASRock and Sparkle leak but all-important price is missing
The Intel Arc A580 has seemingly finally turned up as part of a graphics card leak that features both the ASRock Arc A580 Challenger OC and the Sparkle Arc A580 ORC units. The Arc 5 SKU has been missing from the lineup for some time now, as Arc 3 boards and Arc 7 boards have already been released, with the Intel Arc A380 having been launched back in June 2022.
The Arc A580 is an 8 GB card with an advertised clock rate of 1,700 MHz. The ASRock Arc A580 Challenger OC board is listed by Geizhals with a memory bandwidth of 512 Gbps and 2x 8-pin PCIe connectors. The A580 comes with 24 Xe cores (so 24 ray-tracing units) and 384 XMX Engines (execution units), putting it closer to the A750 rather than the A380 in terms of raw performance.
If the Intel Arc A580 is finally coming to market in the form of these leaked ASRock and Sparkle boards, then pricing it correctly will be critical for any success. The original price range reported for the GPU was US$200-US$299, which would be commercial suicide in the current environment.
Rival units like the RTX 3050 can be picked up for under US$200 now while superior RTX 4060 boards are available for US$280-290. Even the Arc A750 can be found for around US$200-220, so the A580 should really be priced at well under US$200 to interest gamers.
