Samsung unveils today a new Galaxy S6 Edge handset that has been designed together with Marvel. According to the official press release, the two companies "have come together in celebration of the technological innovation and creative visual storytelling in Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron to introduce this limited edition of the Galaxy S6 Edge."

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Iron Man Limited Edition is a regular 64 GB variant of the handset that has a custom design with "vibrant red and gold" finish and a wireless charger to match it. The retail package has also been customized for fans of Marvel's notorious hero. Next to the handset and the wireless charger, Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Iron Man also comes next to "a clear cover that enhances the device’s exclusive design."

This limited edition Galaxy S6 Edge smartphone will hit Korea tomorrow, while China and Hong Kong will get it next month. Unfortunately, date of availability and pricing for the US market are still unknown for the time being.

Although I have been writing about new software and hardware for almost a decade, I consider myself to be old school. I always enjoy listening to music on CD or tape instead of digital files and I will not even get into the touchscreen vs physical keys debate. However, I also enjoy new technology, as I now have the chance to take a look at the future every day. I joined the Notebookcheck crew back in 2013 and I have no plans to leave the ship anytime soon.
