The next two tablets from the South Korean giant are almost here.

The Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 and 9.7 have reached both Chinese and U.S. communications agencies for final approval before official sales can begin. The 8-inch and 9.7-inch tablets carry the model name SM-T715C and SM-T815, respectively.

According to said documents, the Tab 8.0 measures 198.2 x 134.5 x 5.4 mm and carries an AMOLED 2048 x 1536 4:3 display. If true, this tablet may very well be one of the thinnest in the market, handily beating both the Dell Venue 8 7000 and Sony Xperia Tablet Z4.

Other specifications include an octa-core 1.9 GHz processor, 3 GB RAM, 16 GB memory, and 2.1 MP and 8 MP front and rear cameras. LTE and Android 5.0.2 should also be coming standard. The Galaxy Tab 9.7 is expected to have similar specifications, though with a larger 32 GB eMMC.
