Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo with Exynos processor coming soon
Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo has been in the rumor mill for a while and now the time has come to hear more about its specs. While there is no official confirmation of its release yet, an inside report published by SamMobile reveals a lot of details about this Android smartphone based on the original Galaxy S5 flagship.
The article mentions two Galaxy S5 Neo variants, of which one has dual SIM capability. The specs appear to be identical to the previous-gen flagship, including the 5.1-inch Super AMOLED Full HD display, 2 GB RAM/16 GB internal storage, 16 MP primary camera, and 2,800 mAh battery. Even the dimensions and weight are exactly the same - 5.59X2.85X0.32 inches and 0.32 pounds.
The interesting part about the Galaxy S5 Neo is its processor, a new 64-bit chip by Samsung, namely Exynos 7580. Both the CPU and GPU included by this chip are weaker than those of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SoC featured by Galaxy S5 units released until now. At last, the front camera is now a 5 MP one that is similar to that on the Galaxy A series or the new Galaxy S6 handsets.
