It seems Samsung is doing more in Barcelona than MWC. The OEM has opened a Bixby Studio in the city's Plaza de Catalunya. This installation gives visitors a sense of what life would be like with Bixby-powered applicances and devices in it.

Samsung has already performed its marquee act ahead of MWC19 by launching its Galaxy Fold and Galaxy S10 line. Now that it has turned its attention to Barcelona, it has chosen to set up an installation to showcase its proprietary AI interface, Bixby. It is called the Bixby Studio, and offers conference attendees the chance to experience life enhanced by the virtual assistant.

This Studio comprises a Welcome zone, in which visitors are introduced to the AI and what it can do. There are also dedicated zones for Home and Kitchen, which contains the upcoming appliances with Bixby built in. In addition, visitors can test out Samsung's partnerships with other bodies such as La Liga for services such as live sports updates via Bixby.

There is also a Gaming zone, although it may not be what some guests expect. In it, Samsung demonstrates how well Bixby can pass the time with its users by playing games such as tic-tac-toe with them on touchscreens. The Bixby Studio is located in Plaza de Catalunya, and will run from February 23 to March 3, 2019. Samsung has claimed that it has attracted 600 visitors within the first 24 hours of its opening.
