Reviews for the Samsung Galaxy Book3 Ultra 16

89.4% Samsung Galaxy Book3 Ultra 16 review: Enduring 16-inch ultrabook with RTX 4050 | Notebookcheck
Samsung attempts to balance performance, mobility, power consumption and noise emissions in the Galaxy Book 3 Ultra 16 - and does well as a result. The Core i7-13700H and GeForce RTX 4050 deliver plenty of performance for gaming and rendering, even at reduced power.
90% Samsung Galaxy Book 3 Ultra review: Meet Samsung’s answer to the MacBook Pro
Source: Tom's Guide English
The Samsung Galaxy Book 3 Ultra is a powerful laptop that’s capable of handling everyday computing tasks, video editing and high-end gaming. In addition to its impressive performance, this notebook also packs a gorgeous OLED display that makes viewing content and playing games a pure joy. On its own, it’s a fantastic Windows 11 laptop. But like the Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360, you won’t be able to make use of features like Samsung Multi Control if you don’t own the latest iterations of the company’s smartphones. The number of pre-installed Samsung apps is effectively bloatware for those not invested in the company’s ecosystem. As I said, this is a great Windows laptop. But some of its appeal is lost when you remove its interoperability with Samsung devices.

Should you Buy Samsung Galaxy Book3 Ultra? // 6 Months Later Review
Source: Ben G Kaiser English
The Samsung Galaxy Book3 Ultra is definitely the finest built laptops with a serious dedicated GPU. It really packs a punch for such a thin and light package. Don't forget to check out the gorgeous OLED display. The Galaxy Book3 Ultra is really solid, however for the price there are better bang-for-buck laptops if you're merely looking for performance and do not care to much about the aesthetic or build quality of your laptop.

70% Samsung Galaxy Book3 Ultra review: a lean, mean Windows machine
Source: The Verge English
Ultimately, I don’t have too, too many complaints about the Galaxy Book Ultra. It’s a unique device with solid perks for Samsung fans, and my biggest hangups — the touchpad and the webcam — can be fixed with peripherals that a solid port selection allows for. Nevertheless, I do feel that the Ultra’s $2,399 price is high for what it will ultimately bring to the table (for most people). If you’re part of its target audience — folks who want the best mobile experience possible for photo and video work — it’s worth taking a look. But it is worth reiterating that Windows fans can find a better GPU and higher-resolution screen for a very similar price in something like the Dell XPS 15. And while the Galaxy Book is more portable than the 16-inch MacBook Pro, it does not deliver the same ruthless multicore performance, multiday battery life, high-end keyboard and touchpad, or exceptional build quality that Apple’s devices do.

With more variety in terms of display, processor, GPU, and features than perhaps ever before, it’s difficult to compare the Samsung Galaxy Book3 Ultra to anything else currently on the market. The Book3 Ultra holds its own in terms of performance against everything but the MSI Katana, a budget gaming laptop that’s comparable on paper but little else. Samsung compares well in performance, with very little competition in battery life—at least when it comes back to playing back video. And video looks great, too, on the Book3 Ultra’s OLED screen. The price certainly leans heavily toward the premium tier, though not too far out of reach for what the Book3 Ultra offers. As it stands, the Samsung Galaxy Book3 Ultra is the content-creation notebook to beat.

80% Samsung Galaxy Book 3 Ultra Review: An Unmatched Windows Laptop Experience
Source: CNet English
With the S23 Ultra connected, you can launch apps on the device on the Galaxy Book 3 Ultra's screen and use them. And if you use Samsung's browser on the phone, your recent sites will appear in Phone Link so you can pick up where you left off. Plus, every time I lifted the Ultra's lid, it immediately found the Galaxy S23 Ultra and reconnected. One other really nice feature: If you have an S23 Ultra, you can use Samsung's Expert Raw app to capture photos and automatically download them to the laptop. That makes it really easy to shoot, edit and post photos fast. Samsung includes two months of Adobe Lightroom, but Samsung's Gallery app can also handle simple raw editing. Basically, if you're in the market for a Windows laptop for content creation and some gaming on the side, the Samsung Galaxy Book 3 Ultra is an excellent choice.

80% Samsung Galaxy Book 3 Ultra review: Mothership for your Galaxy ecosystem
Source: Android Central English
I'll be frank. My initial impressions of the Galaxy Book 3 Ultra were not great. I ran into software bugs and weird performance problems, not to mention poor battery life and general discomfort while typing. But Samsung has since issued software updates that fixed the few bugs I ran into. I figured out that I needed to switch the display to 60Hz and run in optimized mode to get a good battery-life-to-performance ratio, and gaming performance is now stellar once I realized that Nvidia DLSS works magic on RTX GPUs. While I wish some of these things were a little more obvious out of the box, this sort of tweaking isn't uncommon on Windows machines. On the positive side, all of the unique Samsung Galaxy ecosystem features were as plug-and-play as I could have possibly hoped for. Linking my phone and earbuds was effortless, and I can now use my Tab S7 as a second screen while I'm traveling so I don't have to lose my second monitor productivity. In a nutshell, the things that make the Galaxy Book 3 Ultra unique are the things that work really, really well, and that's a testament to how good of a device Samsung has built. I just wish it worked with an S Pen.

In the world of flagship devices, if you execute a premium product well, the price is the only real downside. That is the case for the Galaxy Book3 Ultra, successfully hitting on the best of what Samsung’s laptops have to offer. This 16-inch laptop is sleekly designed, thin, and lightweight—meanwhile, it packs in a beautiful screen, a marathon-running battery, and a powerful array of the latest components. Samsung's barrier to entry is high, though, even for the base model. In fairness, the rest of Samsung’s Galaxy lineup is the solution here if you want a laptop like this system, but at a lower price. Some of you may need this level of power, though some of the alternatives are equally fast but less expensive. This system really is for highly mobile pro-level content creators who need the juice (and want those Samsung phone features)—not anyone seeking a more standard everyday laptop. We’re also in an awkward spot where many major product lines have not yet been updated with 13th Gen Intel chips, so the Book3 Ultra is one of the most cutting-edge options as it stands, versus buying a system with a last-gen CPU. The performance difference won’t hurt you much compared with, say, the HP Envy 16, which will also save you a few hundred dollars if you’re looking for a better deal. If the Galaxy design and latest parts are more appealing to you, we can recommend the Book3 Ultra, as long as your budget can fit it in.

90% Samsung Galaxy Book 3 Ultra review: A sub-4 pound powerhouse
Source: Laptop Mag English
The Galaxy Book 3 Ultra breaks new ground for the Galaxy Book line with a vastly increased performance ceiling that opens it up to a new category of buyers. It’s a fairly unique blend of size and power that should appeal to anyone that needs to juggle a wide variety of tasks or handle some content creation on the go. It’s a particularly compelling package for anyone that is bought into the Samsung ecosystem, whether that’s a phone or a tablet, you now have a seamless user experience between those devices and your laptop. The roughly 9-hour battery life and the $2,199 starting price are the two biggest stumbling blocks for the Book 3 Ultra. But the former should be enough for most users to make it through a day on a single charge, and the latter is unavoidable when you are getting this kind of performance in a laptop this thin and light. If you are looking for a Windows laptop that can keep up with a heavy workload without weighing you down, the Book 3 Ultra is hard to beat right now.

But it hasn’t arrived yet. Right now, the Samsung Galaxy Book3 Ultra is the content-creation notebook to beat—and for the moment, nothing does.

90% Samsung Galaxy Book3 Ultra review: the Jack of all trades of Ultrabooks
Source: Techradar English
First, I tested the general weight and portability of the Samsung Galaxy Book3 Ultra by carrying it around in a laptop bag. After I set it up, I ran several benchmarks to thoroughly test out the processor and graphics card. Finally, I used a variety of programs and applications to test out both battery life and general performance during work-like conditions, as well as gaming benchmarks to test the RTX 4050 GPU. The Samsung Galaxy Book3 Ultra is meant to be a portable laptop with a thin and light chassis. I had to spend a good amount of testing not only on performance issues but looking for any ventilation issues. I also tested out battery life to see how long it could last off AC power. I've tested plenty of gaming PCs and laptops, making me more than qualified to understand benchmark test results and how to properly stress test machines to see how well they perform as a work machine.

But some of its appeal is lost when you remove its interoperability with Samsung devices. The biggest rival to the Samsung Galaxy Book 3 Ultra is the MacBook Pro 16-inch. Samsung’s laptop is remarkably lighter, has a full-size USB port and offers a more colorful (albeit dimmer) OLED display. Plus, the Book 3 Ultra is a better choice for gamers due to its Nvidia GTX 4050 GPU and Windows ecosystem. However, the MacBook Pro offers much longer battery life and has better performance for video editing. Overall, the Book 3 Ultra isn’t a MacBook Pro killer per se, but it is a killer 16-inch Windows laptop and is deserving of the Ultra name.

As long as you run the Galaxy Book3 Ultra in performance mode, you’ll get some good creativity performance out of it. And that’s with the entry-level machine, which exceeded my expectations in this regard. Spend the money and upgrade to the more powerful model, and you’ll have a machine that’s relatively thin and light for moderately demanding video editing workflows. And the display is a creator’s dream. It’s not cheap, though, which needs to be considered. It’s less expensive than some other powerful laptops, like the Apple MacBook Pro 16, but it’s a lot more than many other premium laptops. If you really need a laptop that’s relatively easy to carry around and can plow through some creative work, then the Galaxy Book3 Ultra is a solid choice.

77% Samsung Galaxy Book 3 Ultra review: The laptop Samsung fans have been waiting for
Source: Zdnet.com English
Ultimately, the Galaxy Book 3 Ultra starts at $2,200 for the Intel Core i7, Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage configuration. That's a big price for a big laptop, but if we're comparing it with its closest Apple alternative, then Samsung is undercutting the 16-inch MacBook Pro (M2) by about $300. And in Samsung's defense, it's giving you a lot for the money, including a dedicated graphics card, one of the best-looking laptop displays on the market, and an uncompromising keyboard experience. The only notable shortcomings are the glossy screen, the obnoxiously large trackpad, and the moderate battery life.

So what if Samsung decided to follow up on its Ultra phone with an Ultra Laptop, but then fixed the shortcomings of the rest in the process. Samsung has been doing laptops for quite some time, and we've praised them for their bold and sleek designs, powerful internals, Galaxy Ecosystem integrations, and just enough variety for you to pick from conventional to extravagant with full WACOM S Pen support. The only thing I've spent complaining about is that those beautiful OLEDs needed a boost in resolution to go from good to great, and that time has finally come. I'm Jaime Rivera with Pocketnow and it's time for our hands-on of Samsung's new Galaxy Book series, which just got pretty awesome

16.00":

15-inch display variants are the standard and are used for more than half of all laptops.

The reason for the popularity of mid-sized displays is that this size is reasonably easy on the eyes, often allows high resolutions and thus offers rich details on the screen, yet does not consume too much power and the devices can still be reasonably compact - simply the standard compromise.
