Reviews for the Lenovo Slim Pro 9i 16IRP8

88% Lenovo Slim Pro 9i 16IRP8 laptop review: The Apple MacBook Pro 16 alternative | Notebookcheck
It's not cheap at over two grand, but the Slim Pro 9i is densely packed and with an impressive 3.2K mini-LED touchscreen for wide DCI-P3 colors and over 2x the contrast ratio of IPS.

Firstly, these Lenovo laptops share an exceptional build quality. Crafted with premium aluminum materials, they offer a sleek and modern design. The 16-inch model, with its rounded beveled edges, exudes an air of sophistication, while the 14-inch version features squared-off bezels, adding a unique touch. On the inside, both laptops are equipped with 32GB of RAM, although it's important to note that the RAM is soldered to the motherboard. So, while storage upgrades are possible, RAM expansion is not an option. Moving on to the dazzling displays, both laptops deliver stunning visuals with 3K mini LED screens. The 16-inch model flaunts remarkable brightness with 638 nits and excellent color accuracy, while the 14-inch variant isn't far behind with 671 nits.

80% Lenovo Slim Pro 9i (16-inch) Review
Source: PC Mag English
The 16-inch Lenovo Slim Pro 9i impressed us with its powerful mix of processing and graphics performance, matched by a premium all-metal build and wide feature set. From its high-resolution, high-refresh-rate display to its 10-hour battery life and broad port selection, it's an impressive option for everything from video editing to coding. While it has a few limitations, notably limited configuration options, and a premium price, it's a first-class desktop replacement for getting serious work done. If you want the absolute best in the Windows world, we'd still suggest the Dell XPS 15, but if you want an equally capable machine with its own appeal, the Lenovo is a smart choice.

80% Lenovo Slim Pro 9i 16 review: great power and style hamstrung by a middling battery
Source: Techradar English
The Lenovo Slim Pro 9i 16 is easily one of the best MacBook Pro alternatives on the market right now, featuring incredible performance, fantastic style, and one of the best laptop displays this side of OLED. But all that power comes at the price of disappointing battery life, which holds this laptop back from true greatness.

100% Lenovo Slim Pro 9I 14 & 16 Review: The Best All-Around Laptop Out
Source: On MSFT English
For Windows users looking for their unicorn MacBook equivalent, the Slim Pro 9i comes about as close as there is when factoring in build quality, design, portability, connectivity, and overall performance. Yes, the fans are a bit loud when pushing the device and it can get warm on a lap when doing anything other than simple data processing or web browsing, but for most tasks such as creating PowerPoint decks, triaging email, download and reading PDFs, watching Netflix or other streaming services, and using Edge or Chrome, the device should remain relatively quiet and cool. Slipping the Slim Pro 9i in a bag never gave me pause as to what I could and couldn’t do with the laptop. I knew, on a full or mostly full charge I could get through my day whether it be creating marketing pitches, campaign graphics and videos or hours of research.

80% Lenovo Slim Pro 9i review: The display will knock your socks off
Source: PC World English
The Lenovo Slim Pro 9i is an impressive laptop with a brilliant Mini-LED display, a powerful 100-watt version of Nvidia RTX 4050 graphics, and excellent connectivity. Intel’s Core i7-13705H lets the laptop down, as it fails to deliver a significant improvement over the less expensive Lenovo Slim Pro 7. That wound is worsened by the Slim Pro 9i’s MSRP, which is higher than alternatives with superior CPU performance. Still, the Slim Pro 9i is an easy recommendation for those who care more about GPU than CPU performance. It’s also a fantastic choice if you frequently view HDR movies and games on your laptop.

90% Lenovo Slim Pro 9i 16 (2023) Review: Powerful Laptop With A Superlative Screen
Source: Slashgear English
Most people will find something to love about the Lenovo Slim Pro 9i 16 (2023). Creators will fall in love with the high resolution and color-accurate Mini LED display, gamers will appreciate its dedicated GPU and high refresh rate, office workers and students will be well served by the excellent keyboard and gigantic trackpad, and everyone will appreciate having speakers in a mobile device which you might actually want to use. With so many superlatives in use to describe the Slim Pro 9i, it's hard to get too upset about the relatively minor downsides, the most significant of which is the pre-installed bloatware, which is an ugly little stain on an otherwise magnificent laptop. It's a testament to how good the Lenovo Slim Pro 9i 16 (2023) really is that I can forgive it coming with McAfee on its SSD. Overall, it's a truly excellent and versatile laptop that is easy to recommend.

70% Lenovo Slim Pro 9i review: upsized and powered up
Source: Digital Trends English
The Slim Pro 9i makes a solid entry into a class of laptops that’s become increasingly popular. The 16-inch machine with a fast CPU and discrete GPU fits the needs of a growing market of creators, and the Slim Pro 9i competes well. It doesn’t have the most powerful GPU, but Lenovo makes the most of it and it competes in creative apps with several laptops that have faster graphics. It’s no better than a strong entry-level gaming machine, but otherwise, it’s well-built, has a good but not great Mini-LED display, and has poor battery life as its primary weakness.

16.00":

15-inch display variants are the standard and are used for more than half of all laptops.

The reason for the popularity of mid-sized displays is that this size is reasonably easy on the eyes, often allows high resolutions and thus offers rich details on the screen, yet does not consume too much power and the devices can still be reasonably compact - simply the standard compromise.

Lenovo: Lenovo ("Le" from English legend, novo (Latin) for new) was founded in 1984 as a Chinese computer trading company. As of 2004, the company was the largest laptop manufacturer in China and, after acquiring IBM's PC division in 2005, the fourth largest in the world. In addition to desktops and notebooks, the company manufactures monitors, projectors, servers, etc, and specializes in developing, manufacturing and marketing consumer electronics, personal computers, software, enterprise solutions and related services.

In 2016, the company ranked first in the world in computer sales. It still held it in 2023 with about 23% global market share. Important product lines are Thinkpad, Legion and Ideapad.

In 2011, it acquired a majority stake in Medion AG, a European computer hardware manufacturer. In 2014, Motorola Mobility was purchased, which gave Lenovo a boost in the smartphone market.
