By the sound of it, the "Galaxy A04" is a budget smartphone that should launch in 2023. However, it is gaining leaks at such a rate that a more imminent debut seems likely. It has most recently been certified with Indian and Thai authorities, thereby possibly hinting at its availability in at least one of those countries soon.

Samsung has already brought out a Galaxy A03 in 2022; however, according to some recent leaks, the OEM has no intention of stopping there and has started work on the launch of a successive A04 already. Now, its new leaks might nudge the alleged budget Android 12 smartphone even closer to the market than previously thought.

Thailand's NBTC regulator has reportedly approved a device that is not merely overtly called the Samsung Galaxy A04, but has the model number linked to it in an earlier leak (SM-A045F) in its new documentation. Its registration also indicates that it will be a dual-SIM (or DS) device, and will be 4G/LTE-only.

Meanwhile, the same device is said to have turned up on the Bureau for Indian Standards (BIS) website. Therefore, the Galaxy A04 may indeed be unveiled before 2023 as one might not expect, which, as Samsung is said to have a mid- to low-end smartphone overstock problem at the moment, is arguably a little odd.
