Redmi K90 Ultra: New RedMagic 11 Pro gaming phone rival stars in detailed leak

Xiaomi is reportedly working on two phones, and the Redmi K90 Ultra is one of them. Recent reports suggested that this top-end phone of the lineup will come with some standout features, with the Bose-tuned speakers being one of them. Now, through a detailed report, Digital Chat Station, a reliable leaker, has leaked all the core specs of the smartphone.

Among the newly leaked pieces of information is a "1.5K" LTPS display that's said to sport a 165Hz refresh rate. This could make the Redmi K90 Ultra offer the same level of display responsiveness as the OnePlus 15, which also comes with a 165Hz screen.

More importantly, this high refresh rate screen would make the phone a good pick for gaming. Speaking of which, Digital Chat Station shares that it would be powered by the Dimensity 9500, the current top-end SoC from MediaTek. While it doesn't have a strong position as the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 in games and emulation, it's still a capable SoC.

With optimizations, it could make the phone offer 165 FPS in most mainstream games. Another notable aspect of the report is that it mentions the inclusion of an active cooling fan. This would make the Redmi K90 Ultra a direct competitor to the RedMagic 11 Pro, which also features a cooling fan inside.

The cooling fan also suggests the Redmi K90 Ultra will be able to handle heavy loads, such as AAA gaming, for a prolonged time without performance throttling. Digital Chat Station adds that the phone will come with a battery with over 8,000mAh capacity, and the leaker reiterates that there will be custom-tuned symmetrical dual speakers.

Other notable aspects from the report include an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, an IP68 rating, a dedicated graphics chip for enhanced gaming performance, and a large vibration motor. All these would make the upcoming phone stand as a proper upgrade over its predecessor (12/256GB curr. $376.41 on TradingShenzhen). There's no mention of a potential release date, but the Redmi K90 Ultra is expected to launch in China in April 2026.
