Privacy-focused iodéOS 7.3 arrives with revamped visuals and deeper customization

Back in 2009, CyanogenMod was born, and at the end of 2016, it spawned LineageOS. Five years later, two French engineers came up with iodé, a mobile operating system based on LineageOS that aims to give freedom back to the users and places people before profits. Now, this open-source project has reached version 7.3.
This update is built on LineageOS 23.2, which integrates all the goodies from Android 16, and comes to bring an interface blending Material 3 Expressive design with powerful customization capabilities. The interface now offers dynamic colors and intuitive interactions, making everything feel "more alive and personal" thanks to various new features and visual tweaks, such as:
- A smarter Quick Settings panel, with an option of separate cellular and Wi-Fi controls.
- A richer dark theme and improved file utilities for private spaces.
- Revamped Twelve (music), DeskClock, and ExactCalculator.
Now available as a stable release, iodéOS 7.3 is an update that can be applied with the help of the Updater app. While around 40 of the more than 60 supported devices can enjoy it, all of them continue to receive monthly security patches, even those that are not supported by version 7 yet. The list of devices fully supported by iodéOS includes the Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 9, Samsung Galaxy Tab 7, Fairphone 5 and Fairphone 6, Sony Xperia 5 V, and more.
