Realme 15x: Realme's new phone can survive immersion in 36 different liquids for up to 60 days, claims company ^↺

The Realme 15x is the latest model to join the growing Realme 15 series, arriving as a successor to the Realme 14x that was released in January 2025. The Realme 15x is available in India for now, with no word yet on wider availability. 

The Realme 15x has a 6.81-inch HD+ screen, which is bigger than the 6.67-inch HD+ 120Hz display of the Realme 14x (curr. available on Amazon.de for €133.99). The display is not only bigger, but it is also brighter, reaching up to 1200 nits, and the refresh rate has been bumped up to 144Hz. The Realme 15x uses the same MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor as the previous generation, and it is paired with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

While the rear of the Realme 15x appears to show three cameras, the phone practically has only one (useful) rear camera, which is a 50MP Sony IMX852 sensor. There's a secondary sensor, but its specification isn't stated. The phone also has a 50MP front-facing camera and tons of camera features, such as the ability to record from both the front and rear camera simultaneously, AI eraser, and motion deblur. 

Like the other Realme 15 smartphones, the Realme 15x has a 7,000mAh battery capacity, but it charges at 60W, unlike the Realme 15 Pro, which reaches 80W. However, users do get an 80W charger in the box. Realme says the battery should provide 2 days of usage on a single charge. It also claims it should still perform like a brand-new battery even after six years. The Realme 15x supports bypass charging and can reverse charge other devices at up to 6.5W.

The Realme 15x has a hybrid dual SIM card tray, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 5, stereo speakers, and a notification LED on the back. It is also rated IP69 Pro for dust and water resistance and is promised to survive immersion in up to 36 kinds of liquid substances at a temperature of between 0°C and 85°C. Realme claims the product can survive immersion for up to 60 days, and the Android 15 phone also has military-grade shock resistance.

Available in Aqua Blue, Marine Blue, and Maroon Red, the Realme 15x is available to buy now, starting at ₹16,999 (~$192/€163.49) for the base model with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage and going up to ₹17,999 (~$203/€173) for the variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
