The AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT is Team Red’s second-strongest card in the RDNA 3 lineup. The GPU launched at an MSRP of $900, a price that many considered pretty bad. Fortunately, the card has been on sale quite frequently over the past months. You can now get the Sapphire Pulse RX 7900 XT for only $699.99 from Newegg, a discount of $50 over the now-reduced MSRP of $749.99.

At the new price, the RX 7900 XT is a pretty good value when we consider the performance on offer. Per our testing, the RX 7900 XT is a QHD beast as the card is able to push demanding titles like Cyberpunk 2077 and A Plague Tale Requiem at 122 and 84 FPS at QHD/Ultra respectively. The GPU can even handle 4K/60FPS gaming in many modern AAA games.

Perhaps even more interesting is the RX 7900 XT vs RTX 4070 Ti SUPER comparison especially at the currently discounted price. NVIDIA launched the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER late last month at $799.99 (Available on Amazon), the same price as the outgoing RTX 4070 Ti. Per TechSpot’s testing at 1440p and 4K, the RX 7900 XT performs similarly to the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER in rasterization while falling behind in RT.

Considering that the cheapest RTX 4070 Ti SUPER on Newegg costs $799.99 at the time of writing, the RX 7900 XT for $100 less with the same rasterization performance and 4 GB more VRAM provides much better value and is a pretty easy recommendation.
