It seems that HMD Global has another batch of devices in development. For context, the company recently introduced the Nokia 108 (2024), Nokia 110 4G (2024) and Nokia 125 4G (2024) globally. However, these are all feature phones. By contrast, @smashx_60 has now revealed details about a new smartphone, which they claim will arrive as the Pulse2 Pro.
In other words, it appears that HMD Global eventually intends to replace the Pulse Pro (curr. $199 on Amazon), which arrived in April. With that being said, little will separate the Pulse2 Pro from its predecessor.
On the one hand, HMD Global is expected to bring over the 720p and 6.65-inch IPS display from the existing Pulse Pro. Consequently, this should allow the Pulse2 Pro to provide a 90 Hz refresh rate with up to 600 nits (HBM) brightness. Additionally, the Pulse2 Pro is said to adopt 50 MP primary, 2 MP secondary and 50 MP front-facing cameras. Meanwhile, a 5,000 mAh battery will return, as will 20 W wired charging and 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM.
On the other hand, the Pulse2 Pro will have up to 256 GB of storage, unlike the Pulse Pro. Moreover, @smashx_60 asserts that HMD Global will swap out the Unisoc T606 inside the Pulse Pro for the Unisoc T612, which should provide a modest 11% performance boost according to our benchmarks. Unfortunately, an official release date remains unknown for now.
