Leak reveals more details on OnePlus 13R and rumored cheapest Snapdragon 8 Elite phone

The OnePlus Ace 5 series is expected to bring two new phones. One of them is reported to feature the last-gen Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, while the Pro variant is expected to compete to be the most affordable Snapdragon 8 Elite flagship. Digital Chat Station, a well-known Weibo tipster, previously shared some possible specs of the non-Pro device, which will likely launch in the global market as the OnePlus 13R.

Now, the renowned leaker has shared more details about the phones in the lineup. The Ace 5 series will reportedly feature a straight screen, which the recently launched Snapdragon 8 Elite flagships sport. The Weibo tipster adds that the battery capacity is expected to be anywhere between 6,200 mAh to 6,300 mAh.

To compare, the OnePlus 13 launched with a 6,000 mAh battery, the highest capacity within the company's global portfolio so far. So, the Ace 5, or OnePlus 13R, could take it a bit further. As the tipster shared earlier, this high-capacity battery will be paired with 100W fast charging support (140W Anker 737 power bank curr. $106.48 on Amazon).

While all of those flagship-grade, the not-so-flagship spec of the series would be the fingerprint scanner. As Digital Chat Station newly shared, the Ace 5 series will come with an optical fingerprint sensor, while the recently launched Snapdragon 8 Elite phones have already switched to an ultrasonic sensor.

On the bright side, the Ace 5 Pro, which could launch as the cheapest Snapdragon 8 Elite phone, is rumored to feature a capable camera setup with the same processing algorithm as the Find X8 series. The latest leak also states that this new series could launch in China in December.
