Over 18 months has passed since Polar introduced the Ignite 2, a smartwatch that debuted alongside the Vantage M2. Unsurprisingly, Polar has been developing a successor, details of which it has included in app code, as well as on its Brazilian website. Unfortunately, it is unclear when Polar will release the Ignite 3. However, the two leaks suggest that Polar is close to announcing the smartwatch.
On the one hand, Redditor u/miCoachFans discovered numerous 'Polar Ignite 3' references within the company's app code. As the screenshot below shows, the Ignite 3 will support customisable watch faces, although it remains to be seen what additional customisation options Polar plans to offer, if any. Additionally, the same screenshot outlines 'voice guidance'. Presumably, this will provide feedback when exercising, potentially via a built-in speaker. Alternatively, the Ignite 3 will offer voice guidance through paired headphones or earbuds.
On the other hand, Polar has included the Ignite 3 on its website. Despite not listing the device's product page yet, the website returns the unreleased smartwatch among numerous other Polar products. Evidently, Polar is making alterations internally to prepare for the Ignite 3's release. As Gadgets & Wearables notes, if Polar does not announce the Ignite 3 in time for the holiday season, then the smartwatch may not arrive until early 2023.
