Peeing NPC and clothed iguana: These details in the GTA 6 image are easy to miss
While Rockstar continues to remain silent, fans are apparently keeping themselves busy by closely examining the screenshots that have already been released for Grand Theft Auto VI (currently available for pre-order on Amazon). One particularly detailed image of The Rusty Anchor bar is currently making the rounds on Reddit. After zooming in on the screenshot, fans have discovered all kinds of unusual details.
Behind a bush, one NPC can be seen relieving himself, while just a few feet away an older man appears to be flirting with a significantly younger woman. Fans are particularly impressed that the image even shows different skin textures and visible signs of heavy sun exposure. Reddit user u/ScheduleMajestic323, who created the thread, wrote: "The amount of details in this one screenshot is crazy," adding, "If this anything remotely close to real game play, this game will be the GOAT."
Iguana wearing clothes
The real star of the screenshot, however, is a woman with an iguana perched on her shoulder that apparently has its own outfit. Because the eye-catching woman appears in multiple screenshots, fans suspect she may be more than just an ordinary background NPC. Some believe she could be a quest giver – perhaps similar to Maude from GTA V. Others think the bar could be part of Jason and Lucia's social circle, serving a role similar to the camp in Red Dead Redemption 2. None of these theories have been confirmed, however.
Not everyone is convinced. Some members of the community suspect the scene was carefully staged for marketing purposes, with manually placed NPCs and scripted animations. Whether GTA 6's open world will actually feel this alive during normal gameplay likely won't become clear until gameplay previews are released.
