Palworld’s 1.0 launch drew nearly one million concurrent Steam players and sold an estimated 1.8 million copies in its first 10 days. Lifetime sales have now surpassed 30 million, generating nearly $700 million in gross revenue as the expanded release maintains a 93% positive Steam rating.

Even after its surprising early access hit when Palworld debuted in early 2024, Pocketpair’s Palworld v1.0 release peaked at one million concurrent players on July 19. This is its highest point since the game’s early access debut, when it surged above two million concurrent users. Post-launch sales have been strong as well, with the game selling over 1.8 million copies in the first ten days.

Celebrating the release and the incredible number of players returning for the v1.0 launch, Pocketpair’s head of publishing and communications, John “Bucky” Buckley, shared on X: “Mind-boggling numbers. Thank you so much, gamers. Palworld 1.0 and Palworld in general really have been a surreal and life-changing experience. I’ll make an educated case and say this is Palworld 1.0’s ‘peak,’ though by no means would I consider that bad in any way! The support we’ve received over the last two-plus years has really been overwhelming. Thank you so much for playing, truly.”

The final v1.0 build of Palworld finally releases the game from the shackles of early access with the addition of new Pals, larger and expanded regions, higher level caps, and new mechanics like Mutation and Awakening, along with quality-of-life features avid players had been asking Pocketpair for. The game has been widely praised for being “Pokémon with guns,” and even after the v1.0 update, Palworld currently sits at a 93% positive Steam user score from well over 400,000 players.

The sales trends have been quite robust as well. Rhys Elliot from Alinea Analytics claims that post-launch sales have reached nearly 1.8 million units in the first ten days, pushing Palworld’s total lifetime sales to 30 million. Alinea Analytics Lead Rhys Elliot stated, “In terms of premium unit sales, our platform estimates put Palworld at roughly 30.5M copies sold, with nearly 86% of that total originating on Steam.”

He further mentioned that Palworld has raked in nearly $700 million in gross revenue via direct software sales in its two-year tenure. Most Palworld players are on Steam, with 65% on PC, 31% on Xbox or via Xbox Game Pass, and only 4% on PS5.
