OnePlus RT and OnePlus Buds Z2 India launch date tipped by new leak

Although the OnePlus 9RT has been out and about in China, there is still no word about its availability overseas. Previously, hints about its Indian launch emerged online via a certification website. Now, renowned leaker Ishan Agarwal (via 91mobiles) has shed more light on the phone's tentative Indian launch date. He has also specified that the device could be launched under the OnePlus RT moniker in India, effectively dropping the number 9 from its name.

91mobiles' report doesn't mention much about the exact OnePlus RT launch date in India and states that the smartphone will be unveiled sometime in December 2021. Yet another Twitter leaker Max Jambor jumps in to save the day here, saying that the OnePlus RT India launch will happen on December 16. Ishan and Max have had an impeccable track record when it comes to leaks, but we should still treat the information with some scepticism.

The OnePlus RT will be joined by the shiny new OnePlus Buds Z2 TWS earbuds, which feature 11mm drivers, Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), 38 hours of playback and support for Wrap Charge. The OnePlus RT should satiate the cravings of OnePlus aficionados in India who were left high and dry due to the OnePlus 9T being cancelled. It should also help OnePlus regain some trust after the numerous OnePlus Nord 2 combustion incidents.
