OnePlus' fans might be inclined to count the Alert Slider as one of the brand's best features. It has been part of its flagship phones since the OEM's difficult second album as an answer to the mute switch found in iPhones, although the non-Apple version has 3 positions rather than 2. Now, however, it is possible that the BBK Electronics brand could lose it as a unique selling point soon.
The tipster Yogesh Brar now asserts that this feature will also be adopted by Realme, another BBK subsidiary. It may indeed already have made a device - or a prototype, at least - with an Alert Slider, as Brar suggests it might be here by April 2022.
Despite this launch-date prediction, there is still no word on how much this switch-enabled Realme phone will cost, although Brar hints that it might hit the mid-tier thus far. As to this apparent melding of features that are normally OEM signatures, it perhaps should not be so surprising in the wake of the recent port of OnePlus' Hasselblad partnership to OPPO in the new Find X5 flagship series.
