OnePlus 3 sales temporarily stopping in Europe

OnePlus 3 Android flagship killer oversells in Europe

Although its predecessors were not extremely successful in Europe, OnePlus 3 is now facing massive sales that force its maker to temporarily halt sales.

OnePlus has decided to drop the invite system a while ago and now it looks like that was not such a great idea, at least for some areas. The first two "flagship killers" by OnePlus one did not manage to score impressive sales in Europe, but the company's latest flagship device is a big hit. So big, that OnePlus is now forced to temporarily stop sales in multiple European markets.

Yesterday, OnePlus revealed that its third flagship is the company's fastest-selling one so far and "sales in mainland Europe have been way better" than anticipated. Unfortunately, OnePlus decided to pause sales for over a month "to give inventory time to replenish," so those located in the affected markets will not be able to order OnePlus 3 handsets from August 9th until September 12th.

Unfortunately, the list of European markets targeted is pretty long - Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Spain. Although not located in Europe, Hong Kong is also affected by the OnePlus sales halt.
