OnePlus is gearing up to launch the Ace 5 series in China. The company has already confirmed that there will be two devices, and the top-end Pro model will feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite. As for the non-Pro phone, it will be a successor to the Ace 3, which launched with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
Moreover, like the Ace 3 series, the non-Pro Ace 5 is the only one in the lineup that's expected to make a global debut. It will seemingly be rebranded as the OnePlus 13R, which will stand as a more affordable and cut-down version of the recently launched OnePlus 13.
This soon-to-be-announced OnePlus 13R has now made its Geekbench debut. As expected, the phone features the last-gen Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, making it a successor to the 12R. The phone surfaced on the benchmarking platform with the 'pineapple' motherboard, the same board as the OnePlus 12.
As for the scores, the single-core and multi-core benchmark points are comparable to what the other Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 devices get. The device that was tested on Geekbench comes with 12 GB of RAM, but it's worth noting that the OnePlus 12R was also offered with up to 16 GB of RAM (curr. $499.99 on Amazon). However, it's unclear whether the device will be offered with up to 24 GB of RAM like the OnePlus 13 or the 12.
Other rumored specs of the Ace 5 or OnePlus 13R include a 6.78-inch BOE X2 LTPO display, a triple camera setup with a 50 MP primary sensor, a 6000+ mAh battery, and 100W fast charging support. The company has yet to reveal pricing and other details.
