Official: Samsung launches new 25W magnetic charger with the Galaxy S26 Series

Samsung has taken the wraps off its new flagship Galaxy S26 series at the latest Galaxy Unpacked event, bringing upgrades like a new privacy screen, agentic AI features, and faster charging speeds. Alongside the phones, Samsung also quietly introduced several accessories, including a new Qi2 magnetic wireless charger.
The new Samsung Magnet Wireless Charger is a Qi2-certified wireless charger with a design similar to Apple's MagSafe charger (curr: $37 at Amazon). It features a slim 4.4 mm profile and a 1.5 m fabric USB-C cable, which should hold up better against daily wear and tear. With Qi2 support, the charger delivers up to 25W wireless charging on the Galaxy S26 Ultra, which Samsung says can reach 50% battery in under an hour.
Like the Google Pixel 10 series, only the top-end Galaxy S26 Ultra supports the full 25W Qi2 charging speed. The Galaxy S26 Plus is capped at 20W, while the standard Galaxy S26 tops out at 15W. That said, users will need a magnetic case to use the Magnet Wireless Charger with the new Galaxy S26 phones, along with a 45W adapter to reach the fastest speeds. The charger is also compatible with previous Galaxy S25 devices and other Qi2-certified smartphones.
Like the the Galaxy S25 series, the new Galaxy S26 phones do not have built-in magnets, but they support Qi2 wireless charging through magnetic cases. In the US, buyers can purchase the new Samsung Magnet Wireless Charger directly from the Samsung website. It's priced at $49.99, but an early launch discount drops the price to $34.99.
