OPPO is an electronics company that holds a developer's conference for its growing ecosystem of devices it calls Inno Day every year. It has announced that the latest in this series of events will take place on November 17, 2020. Apparently, its headline product debut on this date will be a pair of augmented-reality (AR) glasses.
OPPO launched its first ever pair of smart glasses at its Inno Day 2019. Now, it seems there is a second generation to be introduced at the same event in 2020. This new headset will reportedly support control via gesture, voice or physical buttons, as well as 3D surround audio and a spatial mic array.
A teaser image for this device also indicates that it has cameras on the outer edge of each lens and a relatively streamlined design. OPPO has yet to mention its applications or use-cases, although they may include productivity, remote communications and entertainment.
The OEM is also now slated to reveal further results of its R&D efforts, a handful of concept devices included. However, other upcoming products such as its first round-faced wearable, the Watch RX, are not rumored to make an appearance. OPPO is also now said to have its own laptops and tablets in the works; however, it remains to be seen if any of them can make this November 17, 2020 show.

I became a professional writer and editor shortly after graduation. My degrees are in biomedical sciences; however, they led to some experience in the biotech area, which convinced me of its potential to revolutionize our health, environment and lives in general. This developed into an all-consuming interest in more aspects of tech over time: I can never write enough on the latest electronics, gadgets and innovations. My other interests include imaging, astronomy, and streaming all the things. Oh, and coffee.
