OPPO has set a date on which the new Reno8-series smartphones will make their debut. The devices are expected to emerge with a selection of new MediaTek or Qualcomm processors, AMOLED displays and possibly even highly customized rear cameras with their own co-processor. These shooters and their appearance are still being discussed on the leaks circuit.

OPPO has just acknowledged a slew of leaks in confirming that the Reno7 series will be supplanted by successors with potentially updated rear cameras and designs. These smartphones are again now projected to arrive as SE, vanilla and Pro variants, each of which may or may not have a different appearance and panel of specs.

Then again, Ice Universe alludes to an additional Pro+ variant with a central punch-hole in its thin-bezelled display as opposed to one set in a corner as in previous Reno generations.

A new set of renders that may confirm these indications in part, displaying a slightly altered take on the increasingly familiar Realme GT Neo 3/OnePlus 10R/CE 2 Lite motif. Should these images, spotted on MySmartPrice and Weibo, be believed, this is how the Reno8 will look in 2022.

The possibly 120Hz, 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED-equipped Reno8 Pro, on the other hand, is touted as a phone that may or may not end up rebranded as the OnePlus Ace Racing Edition soon.

As for the Reno8 SE, it is now tipped to launch with the Dimensity 1300 SoC, while the 8 may get to be the world's first Snapdragon 7 Gen 1-powered phone instead. All of these specs may or may not be revealed on May 23, 2022 during OPPO's next product event.
