Oppo Reno8 Pro 5G House of the Dragon Edition to arrive in India soon with plenty of Targaryen-themed goodies
Some time ago, Asus teased the ROG Phone 6 Batman Edition's launch and unveiled it shortly after, albeit in limited quantities. Now, Oppo has jumped on the themed smartphone bandwagon with a new Reno8 Pro 5G variant. This time, the aesthetic is centred around the wildly popular Game of Thrones prequel, House of the Dragon.
Dubbed the Oppo Reno8 Pro 5G House of the Dragon Edition, the smartphone comes with several goodies, such as a dragon egg, dragon SIM ejector tool, dragon emblem phone holder, Targaryen sigil keychain and a letter from King Viscerys himself. Oppo has also thrown in a leather phone case to give it a more "premium" feel.
Currently, there is no information about the Oppo Reno8 Pro 5G House of the Dragon Edition's price and availability. There is, however, a landing page on the Indian e-commerce website Flipkart, which will be updated later with the pertinent details. It will likely go on sale on October 24 (Diwali) because its marketing material pegs it as an ideal gift.
The Flipkart listing also confirms that the Oppo Reno8 Pro 5G House of the Dragon Edition will be sold only in India, at least for the time being. Given the show's massive popularity, it would be unwise for Oppo to restrict the phone to just one region. Besides, the Oppo Reno8 Pro 5G is quite a potent phone even without all the decorations. It Dimensity 8100 Max has been running circles around the competition in AnTuTu's performance charts.
