OnePlus has begun teasing the Ace Racing Edition, a second entry in the Ace series. While the OnePlus Ace resembles the OnePlus 10R, the Ace Racing Edition takes inspiration from the OnePlus 10 Pro. While its global release date remains unknown at this stage, OnePlus has confirmed that the smartphone will be available in China from May 17.
Although OnePlus' teasers are light on teasers, the company has shared several marketing renders, embedded below. Incidentally, OnePlus refers to the two colourways as Competitive Grey and Lightspeed Blue, the former of which a TENAA listing already revealed. Moreover, JD.com has published even more renders, along with placeholder pricing. The retailer has not included specifications in its product listing yet, though.
Based on the TENAA's listing, the Ace Racing Edition utilises a 6.59-inch LTPS IPS display paired to a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC and a 4,890 mAh battery. Unsurprisingly, a 6.59-inch display means that the Ace Racing Edition will be a large device. If TENAA is correct, the device will measure 164.3 x 75.8 x 8.7 mm. Furthermore, the Ace Racing Edition should have a 16 MP front-facing, 64 MP primary, 8 MP ultra-wide-angle, 2 MP depth and 2 MP macro cameras. Also, TENAA mentions that OnePlus has created 8 GB and 12 GB of RAM configurations, which will be available with 128 GB or 256 GB of storage.
