Nubia is preparing to launch the Z70 Ultra, which will be joining the other recently launched Snapdragon 8 Elite flagship phones. Right ahead of the official unveiling, the camera flagship has been spotted on Geekbench with the model number "NX736J."
Both the single-core and multi-core scores of the Nubia Z70 Ultra are higher than what the alleged Korean variant of the Samsung Galaxy S25 achieved. For reference, the Samsung flagship was supposedly tested with the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, an overclocked variant of the standard SoC.
Even though it was a very early benchmark test, the standard Galaxy S25 did poorly, achieving 2,481 in single-core and 8,658 in multi-core. On the other hand, in one specific Geekbench listing, the Z70 Ultra got 3,203 and 10,260 points, respectively, which are more in line with the other Snapdragon 8 Elite flagships.
It's unclear whether it packs a better cooler than the predecessor, but the company recently revealed that the Snapdragon 8 Elite in the Nubia Z70 Ultra has been tuned to offer "supreme performance." Other than that, the phone is confirmed to pair the next-gen Qualcomm chip with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage (2 TB Samsung T9 portable SSD curr. $192.78 on Amazon).
A recent leak has also revealed a full-screen display similar to the RedMagic 10 Pro, a tweaked rear camera setup, and a new under-display camera. Pricing and global availability details of the Z70 Ultra are still under wraps, but given the Chinese launch is around the corner, you won’t have to wait long to learn more.
