Nubia Z70 Ultra camera highlights revealed ahead of launch
Nubia is getting ready to release its new Snapdragon 8 Elite flagship phone in China, the Z70 Ultra. The company has already showcased the design of the smartphone, and now, it has detailed the camera setup of the device.
As the previously shared renders confirmed, the Nubia Z70 Ultra will feature a primary sensor with a variable aperture. It's the same 50 MP sensor that the predecessor featured, but with a variable aperture, it has the potential to offer better low-light images and improved control over the depth of field.
Nubia shares that the main camera can get its aperture set between f/1.59 and f/4.0. There will also be a dedicated Night Sky mode that is capable of taking long exposure shots of the sky. Complementing the primary camera is a 64 MP telephoto that sports a f/2.48 lens, wider than what the predecessor featured.
Regarding the third camera on the back of the Nubia Z70 Ultra, it will be an ultrawide sensor with AF. It's said to feature a dedicated macro mode that can offer detailed close-up shots. While the resolution of the ultrawide camera hasn't been confirmed, it's likely to be the same 50 MP sensor as the predecessor.
Besides sharing the sensor details, Nubia has confirmed that the new Snapdragon 8 Elite flagship will sport a camera button. Unlike the one in the iPhone 16 series, this isn't a capacitive button. Instead, it's a two-step physical button, similar to what Sony implements in its Xperia phones (1 VI available on Amazon). Nubia has also shared camera samples that highlight the phone's imaging performance. You can check them out below.
