No HyperOS 4: These Xiaomi smartphones will not receive major HyperOS update

Earlier this week, Xiaomi revealed its global rollout schedule for HyperOS 4. In summary, the company has now started issuing its latest OS release to 31 devices, including the Xiaomi 17 Ultra (curr. $1,239 on Amazon). However, it hopes to offer HyperOS 4 to around 80 devices by the end of 2026.
According to XimiTime, over half a dozen smartphones are set to miss out on HyperOS 4 altogether. For reference, Xiaomi's latest OS update drops support for devices whose last Android version is Android 16. As such, the website asserts that the Redmi Note 13 Pro, Redmi Note 13 Pro 4G and the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus will remain on HyperOS 3.
Additionally, neither the Redmi K60 Pro nor the Redmi K70 Pro will receive HyperOS 4 either. It is worth noting that these devices run the Chinese version of HyperOS though, rather than Xiaomi's global alternative. Setting that aside, XimiTime adds that HyperOS 3 will be the last stop for the Poco M6 Pro 4G and Poco X6 5G, too.
With that said, Xiaomi has committed to offer security updates for the Redmi Note 13 series until 2028. The same applies to the Poco X6 5G, which is set to receive security updates until at least January 2028.
